Ok, so I'm a pretty terrible blogger. I mean, really, it's been a month. I'll try to be better. I swear.

A lot happens in a month. Like P growing 2 inches. And weighing over 11 pounds. Or J bringing up grades in two classes. It's been a great month.

I went back to work two weeks ago, and it was so hard to leave P! It is nice to do something else for a few hours, but I can't wait to come home to him. He is growing so fast, I dont want to miss any of it! He is so close to laughing and he is happy all the time. He also wants to suck his thumb more than anything, but can't quite figure it out. Any day now...

J had her first band concert! It was really impressive. She plays the clarinet and is very good at hitting all of her fingering and notes. I am really proud of her. She also has really been working hard in school. J and B have a new obsession with Skyhigh - an indoor trampoline park down the road from us! They love it! www.jumpskyhigh.com

So, there you have it. I updated the blog. We now know that I can make time to do this at least once a month.... but I'll try for more.

One Month Old!

Ready to ROCK!

P is a whole month old (well, as of yesterday)!!  I can't believe it! It's crazy how much has changed in our lives in such a short amount of time. The girls, especially J, have been so unbelievably helpful. They both love to hold him and feed him. J helps me out by walking around with him while I make dinner and helps me pick out his outfits and dress him. I'd have a really tough day without her around!

As I said the other day, P is really alert. He can focus on our faces and now is beginning to respond with a smile. He loves being sung to, and gets so excited when he is on his play mat! He kicks and coos so much, and J and I laugh right along with him.  "He's SO cute!" is our catchphrase now. Even Disco loves him and is very protective.

Yesterday was P's one month doctor's checkup. He weighs 8 lbs 12 oz and is 21 3/4 inches long! He was7 lbs, 4oz and 20 1/4 inches at birth! He's in the top third of boys for his weight and the top 60% of boys for height!  Guess I don't have to worry if he's eating enough!

J is taking the weekend off to go to Grandma and Grandpa Crawford's house.  I'll miss my girl, but she will have a great time, and will have a lot to tell me when she gets home. Meanwhile, P and I will be finding stuff to do while Daddy is working hard all weekend! And now, it's bathtime!

Christmas 2011

           So, I'm finally starting a blog about my awesome kids! Not only am I blessed with the greatest, coolest, smartest stepdaughters, we have added a perfect little man to round out our family. Palmer Kane was born on December 19th, 2011 at 7:34pm. He is perfect and you have never seen prouder big sisters!

             Our first four weeks have flown by, and yet he seems to have always been part of our family. I have to say that I am pretty lucky, this babe sleeps from feeding to feeding at night, and has a wonderful disposition. He also has enough gas to power my Jetta! I swear, it's amazing! The girls think this is so funny, and a little gross. P also loves bathtime!

We celebrated Christmas and the New Year with our little guy. He is the apple of everyone's eye and to me, looks just like Daddy! It's amazing to see him grow and change every day! He is so alert and is just starting to smile on his own. We had a photo shoot with Aunt Kelly last week ~she's amazingly talented!! Pictues will come soon from that day. J & B loved having their pictures taken and J told me that she "was made for that camera, I swear!"

The girls start their 3rd quarter in school today - J is in 6th grade, B is in 4th. I can't believe how big they are and how fast time flies. They are such sweet and beautiful young ladies and they make me so proud. I am truly blessed with these kids.
